If the defeats against Hamburg Towers and Paris in "Morača" were not proof that Buducnost Voli does not have the quality for great deeds this season, tonight's "derby" of the 9th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League served as the best wake-up call - Vladimir Jovanovic's team was completely inferior against Partizan and it was only a question of what the final difference would be.
In the end, it was 106:77, and at no time did the "blues" act as a team that can play at the level of Euroleague participants and the main favorite to win the regional competition.
The team that was put together during the summer simply does not have the playing quality, nor is it physically equal to the best teams in the ABA League and the Eurocup. If there is no additional selection, the semifinals of the ABA League will be a great success.
There is no justification for tonight's game, nor can anyone hide behind the fact that Kenan Kamenjaš and Edin Atić were absent due to injuries, that the team started preparations late, that the last FIBA "window" took away time for getting in the game...
