New York led by nine points at halftime, and had a 14-point lead in the third quarter, but Chicago went on a 10-0 run in that period, erased the deficit, and then took the match into overtime.
In the extra five minutes, New York made a 9:0 run, went to 128:119 and settled the match.
Montenegrin basketball player Nikola Vucevic finished the match with 19 points (9/16 field goal), seven rebounds and five assists.
DeMar DeRozan was the most effective for Chicago with 32 points. Zach Lavin scored 25, and Kobe White scored 12 points.
In New York, Julius Randle was the best with 31 points and 13 rebounds.
