On Wednesday, the European basketball season closes in Podgorica - in the last match of the Eurocup in 2022, Budućnost Voli welcomes Turk Telekom.
The Turkish team is the leader of Group B after eight rounds (6-2), but it has only one victory more than the "Blues" from Podgorica.
"Turk Telekom is definitely the leader and the best team in the group," said coach Vladimir Jovanović.
Turk Telekom is in a winning rhythm - it has won 15 of the last 16 games, it also defeated Fenerbahçe away in the series, it is the leader of the Turkish championship. The only defeat since mid-October was against Gran Canaria at home in the Eurocup.
"It will certainly be a difficult match for us because it comes in a difficult schedule, this month we had a large number of matches," says Aleksa Ilić.
"They had a lot of wins, but we also raised our game a bit. I expect a tough match, but as the hosts we have to go for the win, as in every game so far".
Three Americans hold the strings.
"It is a very high-quality team, led by two experienced American players - Taylor and Grant. Surely in tomorrow's game our goal will be to stop those two, but also the center Jones. Because of all the problems we have - Kaba not playing in the last match, because of the virus who won after the duel with Gran Canaria, we will have to rearrange the lines and have other guys take over part of his minutes but also part of the responsibility. I hope we will succeed in that," said Jovanović.
The match Budućnost Voli - Turk Telekom will be played on Wednesday at 19:XNUMX in Morača.
