Jovanović: The right approach and reaction; Pavićević: It was difficult to watch the 1st half

Podgorica dominated from the start, and Vladimir Jovanović was satisfied with how his players reacted after the defeat by Turk Telekom in the Eurocup.

"After a somewhat weaker period and a not so great game against Turk Telekom, we had enough days, i.e. three, which in our case is a lot. We held meetings that were very useful for us, the guys understood what was required and showed a reaction. We had a good approach from the beginning. We made mistakes, we weren't accurate, we had empty moves, but I have to be satisfied with the approach. I also congratulate Mornar, I wish him luck in the ABA league and the Montenegrin championship", stressed Jovanović.

Next to the field was Emmanuel Lecomte, who was visibly limping.

"He was hit hard in the thigh muscle in training. Now he went for an MRI. We thought it was nothing serious, but the ultrasound showed that there was something. We will know what is true tomorrow," Jovanović pointed out.

Barana head coach Mihajlo Pavićević was disappointed with his team's attitude in the first 20 minutes.

"I congratulate Buducnosti on a more than deserved victory, which was not in question from the 1st minute. I'm not happy with the 1st half. I told the boys to play without any load for the remaining five games, but to do our best. They misunderstood it, as if it should be played without defense. We received 56 points, 40 from the racket, and we did not get out of the bonus in either the 1st or 2nd quarter. That was hard to watch," Pavićević said.

The experienced expert talked about Luka Šćuka and Vladimir Mihailović, for whom the season is over. The question is whether he will be there in the next one.

"Pike is on loan to us and does not depend on us. I would like to have him in the team, I haven't had such a talent in a long time, but it depends on the plan of Cedevita Olimpija, which is in the process of getting a new coach. After two injuries to his hand, Mihailović had a problem, he decided to have surgery for a hernia. It came at a very inconvenient moment for us and for him the season is over".
