Podgorica basketball players failed to qualify for the finals of the NLB ABA2 league - after eight wins in a row in this competition, Nebojsa Bogavac's team lost to Krka 86:74 today.
The Montenegrin team played a good match, was in the game until the end, but failed to overcome the favorite to enter the ABA league.
After Luka Bogavac's point, Podgorica took the lead 10:8, and then Krka scored six points at the end of the first quarter and took the lead 22:15.
The team from Novi Mesto maintained the lead at the beginning of the second quarter, leading 40:34 after the Spaniard's point, but Podgorica equalized (40:40), and then turned it around after Brnović's three-pointer (43:42).
It will turn out to be the last lead of Nebojša Bogavac's team - Krka led 20:52 after 44 minutes, and then in the third period had 12 extra points (56:44, 58:46).
In the last period, after Fofana's point, Podgorica managed to get back to minus four (68:64), had an attack even for minus two, but Vojinović was inaccurate.
After that, Krka came out again, Vucić scored for plus 13 (79:66), only for Bogavac to hit a three-pointer and reduce the score to 80:71. On the other side, Stipčević was accurate for three, Krka again gained a double-digit advantage (83:71) and two minutes before the end, they decided the match.

The most effective for Podgorica was Andjušić with 16 points. Bogavac scored 15, Brnović nine, and Fofana, Đurišić and Bejhurst eight each.
On the other side, the best was the Spaniard with 21 points. Vucic scored 15, Stipčević 13, and Škedelj and Montenegrin representative Radosav Spasojević 11 points each.
