Petar Mijović, coach of Budućnost

The new coach of Budućnost Volija is Petar Mijović, the Podgorica club announced this evening.

Mijović will succeed Vladimir Jovanović on the bench, whose contract was terminated by mutual agreement after yesterday's defeat against Borac from Čačany in the last round of the Admiralbet ABA League. He will lead Bubućnost until the end of the season.

In 2019, Mijović succeeded Jasmin Repeša on the bench of Budućnosti and won the title of champion of Montenegro. He started the next season (2019/2020) as Slobodan Subotić's assistant, and when Subotić left, he became the head of the coaching staff. He led the team until January 27, 2021, when he resigned, and was replaced by Dejan Milojević.

This season, Mijović was the coordinator of all junior selections in SC Derby.

"After talking with Petar Mijović, the Board of Directors of KK Budućnost Voli made the decision that the Montenegrin expert will be the head of the coaching staff until the end of the current season. Mijović will thus return to the blue and white team, where he spent from October 2019 to January 2021 at the helm of our club", it was announced from Budućnosti.

Budućnosti will have its first match with Mijović on the bench on Friday (19) against Partizan in the postponed match of the 22nd round of the ABA League.
