Turk Telekom basketball player Jerian Grant was declared the best player of the Eurocup for the 2022/23 season, as voted by coaches, club captains, fans and journalists.
Grant has a great season behind him in Turk Telekom, with whom he will fight tomorrow against Gran Canaria for the Eurocup trophy and a place in the Euroleague next season.
He had a double-digit utility rating in each of 17 regular-season games, helping his team finish second in the division with 13 wins and five losses.
In the playoffs, as written on the Eurocup website, he raised his game to a higher level - he dominated the field in his team's victory against Ulm in the quarterfinals with 20 points and seven assists, and then in the semifinals against the Prometheus team, he scored 19 points with six assistance.
Grant welcomes the Eurocup final with an average of 14,8 points and three rebounds per game, with an average utility index of 18,7.
He is the first Turk Telekom player, and the third from a Turkish club, to win the Eurocup MVP award. Before him, Eric McCollum did it with Galatasaray in 2016 and Scotty Wilbekin two years later with Darushafak.
