Dallas basketball player Luka Dončić announced that through his foundation he will help the families, students and teachers of the Belgrade school "Vladislav Ribnikar", where nine people were killed in an armed attack by a 13-year-old student.
"Due to the tragedy and the lost children's, innocent lives, my heart is broken. My thoughts are with the families of the victims and the entire nation. My foundation, on the occasion of this difficult and unfortunate event, provides support to all the families, students and teachers of Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School," he said. Dončić in the announcement.
The Slovenian basketball player expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and said that he will inform the public about further steps.
As reported by ESPN, Doncic offered to pay for funeral expenses, as well as counseling for children, teachers and everyone affected by the great tragedy.
Eight children and a security guard were killed on Wednesday morning in an armed attack by a student at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Elementary School in the center of Belgrade. Another six students and one teacher were injured in the attack.
