The second participant of the final four in Kaunas is Olympiakos - the team from Athens defeated Fenerbahce 84:72 tonight on the home floor, in the master's game.
Olympiakos will play in the final four with Monaco or Maccabi, who will play a master's game tomorrow (20) in Monte Carlo.
Jorgos Barkokas' team controlled the game from the start and had a five-point advantage on several occasions during the first quarter.
In the second quarter, after Mustafa Fol's free throws, Olympiakos had a six-point lead for the first time - 29:23. But the guests were dragged by Marko Gudurić, so Fener made an 8:0 run and took the lead for the first time after free throws by the former Zvezda player - 31:29.
It was also the last lead of the team from the Bosphorus - Olympiakos made a 15:0 run and went to 44:31. In the second half of the second quarter, Fener scored two points, both by Tyler Dorsey from the penalty spot, which ended the streak of the home team and reduced the score to 44:33.
There was no excitement in the sequel, so Barcokas' team deservedly qualified for the final tournament, which will be held from May 19 to 21 in Kaunas.
Slukas was the most effective for Olympiakos with 22 points. Vezenkov scored 17, and Papanikolau scored 14.
