The head of Olympiakos' coaching staff, Jorgos Barcokas, was chosen as the best coach this season in the Euroleague.
This season, Barcokas led Olympiakos to first place in the regular season (24-10), and then eliminated Fenerbahce in the quarterfinals (3:2) and advanced to the final four.
Barcokas was named the best coach for the second year in a row, and for the third time overall in his career (the first time in the 2012/2013 season). So far, only Željko Obradović has won this award three times.
The coaches of all Euroleague teams take part in the voting.
The final four of the Euroleague is from May 19 to 21 in Kaunas, and Olympiakos will play Monaco in the semi-finals. The second semi-final pair consists of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
