Historic result: Monaco defeated uninterested Barca and won 3rd place

The basketball players of Monaco beat Barcelona today, celebrated 78:66 and ended the season in the Euroleague in third place.

This is the best result of the club from Monte Carlo, which qualified for the final tournament for the first time this season.

From the beginning of the game, Saša Obradović's team controlled the events on the field, but they also had a lot of help from their rivals, who were completely disinterested. Barcelona's basketball players have not recovered from their loss to Real in the semi-finals and it seems they couldn't wait for today's match to end.

Šarunas Jasikevičius' team led only once, and that was at the beginning of the game when Abrines hit a three-pointer for 3:2. After that, and until the end of the match, Monaco led, which after 10 minutes had a double-digit advantage (24:13).

At halftime it was 44:28, and in the third quarter, after a three-pointer from Mirotic, Barca came close to 52:42.

However, there was no uncertainty - after Makundu's point, Monaco took a 21-point advantage (70:49) and brought the match to an end.

The most effective for Monaco was Strazel with 14 points. Dialo and Okobo scored 10 each.

At Barca, Mirotic stood out with 15 points.
