The young men's basketball team of Montenegro was defeated tonight by Croatia 72:67, in the second round of the tournament in Šibenik.
It is the first defeat of the Montenegrin basketball players in the tournament, after yesterday's opening triumph against Canada 83:81.
The home team led 30:19 after the first quarter, while in the third part of the match the difference amounted to 19 points (59:40).
This was followed by a phenomenal three minutes of the Montenegrin team and a series of 15 consecutive points, which reached 59:55 after Petr Minic's three-pointer.
Igor Joković was accurate, who scored for three points and for the reversal at 60:61. The game was tied until the last minute, which belonged to Croatia.
David Mirković was the most effective player in the Montenegrin team with 16 points, while Joković and Minic added 14 each. Zoran Vučeljić also stood out, with seven points and ten rebounds.
Montenegro's rival tomorrow is the Czech Republic.
