The head coach of the men's senior basketball team, Boško Radović, announced today the list of players for preparations ahead of the World Cup.
Radović counts on 24 players.
The list includes Nikola Ivanović (Crvena zvezda), Kendrik Peri (Unikaha), Igor Drobnjak (Buducnost Voli), Balša Živanović (Marnar Barsko zlato), Mašan Vrbica (Sutjeska), Luka Bogavac (Mega), Petar Popović (Buducnost Voli), Vladimir Mihailović (Mornar Barsko zlato), Fedor Žugić (Ulm), Džona Radeb (Valencia), Dino Radončić (Zaragosa), Andrija Slavković (SC Derby). Zoran Vučeljić (SC Derby), Đorđije Jovanovoić (Partizan), Emir Hadžibegović (SC Derby), Radosav Spasojević (Krka), Andrija Grbović (Mega), Aleksa Ilić (Budućnost Voli), Bojan Dubljević (Valencia), Nikola Vučević were also invited. The gathering of national team members is planned for July 21.
The Montenegrin basketball players' base during the preparations will be the Pinces hotel in Bar.
It is planned that the basketball players will play an away friendly against France on August 2, and three days later they will host Serbia.
It has also been agreed to play in the tournament in Georgia against the hosts and Iran.
Trainers Vladimir Todorović, Boško Bošković and Lazar Mašanović and conditioning coach Milovan Ljubojević will help coach Radović in his work.
Montenegro will play in Group D at Mundobasket against Lithuania, Mexico and Egypt.
