Monaco brought a big reinforcement for the next season - the new player of the team from Monte Carlo is the American basketball player Kemba Walker.
The American signed a one-year contract.
Walker played 12 years in the NBA for Charlotte, Boston, New York and Dallas. In January, he became a free agent, there was speculation at the time about his transfer to Olimpia from Milan, but the coach of the "mannequin" Ettore Messina denied everything.
In his career, Kemba Walker played 750 games in the regular part of the NBA League, and averaged 19,3 points and 5,3 assists.
In the playoffs, he played 31 matches and averaged 19,6 points and 4,8 assists.
Walker was selected ninth overall by Charlotte in the 2011 draft. In the meantime, he became the franchise record holder for the number of points scored (12.009) and minutes played (20.607).
He participated in the All-Star game four times.
