In addition to the Admiralbet ABA League, the NLB ABA2 League calendar for the next season was also adopted at the Assembly of the regional competition in Zagreb today.
Montenegro will be represented by Sutjeska and Podgorica, which, like the previous season, will play already in the first round, which is scheduled for October 2. Sutjeska participates in the NLB ABAXNUMX league for the sixth time in a row, while this is the fourth consecutive participation for Podgorica.
Last season, Nikšić lost to Krka in the quarter-finals, which was better than Podgorica in the semi-finals.
Apart from Sutjeska and Podgorica, Borac from Banjaluka, Široki, Cedevita Junior, GKK Šibenka, Pelister, TFT, MZT, Šenčur, Helios, Zlatibor and Spartak from Subotica will participate in the NLB ABA2 league.
There are 13 teams, and the 14th will be known after the qualifications in which Spurs, Bosnia, Vojvodina and Illyria will participate. In both the semifinals and the finals, two games are played on goal difference. The semi-final matches are scheduled for September 23 and 27, between Vojvodina and Spurs and Ilirija and Bosnia. The final matches are on October 1 and 5.
Just like last year, this season the matches of the regular part will be played in "balloons", and five of them will be organized.
And after the regular part, the final tournament will not be played in one city, as was the case in previous seasons, but in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final, two games will be played each, at home and away. Matches are played on goal difference.
On the website of the ABA2 league, it is written that the first quarter-final matches will be played on April 1rd. The final is scheduled for May 7 and XNUMX.
