The junior basketball team of Montenegro qualified for the quarterfinals of the European B Division Championship in Portugal tonight.
Vasa Milović's team defeated Georgia (82:78), maintained their maximum performance after four matches and advanced to the knockout stage from the first position.
Montenegro managed to win in an uncertain ending. In the last five minutes of the game, the teams alternated in the lead, and in the last minute, Georgia entered with a point advantage (78:77, Abuladze hit a three-pointer and an extra throw).
Then Vladimir Sudar converted (79:78), Luka Đurović caught the ball in defense, and then Sudar scored both times from the penalty spot (81:78).
Georgia started the last attack, Aroshidze was not precise, and the triumph of the Montenegrin juniors from the penalty was signed by David Mirković.
Sudar finished the match with 26 points. Vasilije Todorović scored 15, and Mirković scored 11.
In the last round of the group stage, Montenegro will play Slovakia tomorrow (19).
