The junior basketball team of Montenegro finished their participation in the European B division championship in Portugal with a victory.
Montenegro defeated Austria 85:80 in the third place match today.
Austria played better in the first quarter, leading 28:19 after ten minutes, at the beginning of the second they had a plus 12 (31:19), but then Montenegro slowly melted the deficit, with a series of 9:0, it came to minus two (38:36). and after David Mirković's triple took the lead (41:39).
At halftime it was 47:46 for Vasa Milović's team, and in the third quarter the teams took turns in the lead.
It was also uncertain in the fourth quarter, that in the last two minutes, Montenegro entered with a five-point advantage - 80:75. Austria came close to taking possession of the deficit, but there was no turning point.
David Mirković led Montenegro again tonight, who finished the match with 31 points (5/10 for two, 5/6 for three), seven rebounds and an index of 30.
Vladimir Sudar finished the match with 11 points and five assists.
Placement in the A division will surely be won by the champion, while the remaining two passengers will be known at the beginning of next year.
