The Ukrainian referee claims that he was offered 10.000 euros to "push" Unix in the final against Mitrovic's Monaco

And, before the final against Russian Uniks, as claimed by one of the judges who was an actor in that duel, there were attempts to "push" the Russian team to the cup.

Ukrainian referee Mykola Ambrosov accused his colleagues of trying to bribe him to referee in favor of the Russian team in the 2021 Eurocup final, "Eurohoops" reported.

It is the second match of the final that was played in Kazan, for which Ambrosov claims that he was offered 10.000 euros to referee in favor of Unix.

According to him, a few days before the game, the Ukrainian referee Boris Rižik told him "in code" that he was offering him the mentioned sum to make decisions in favor of Unix, and that the Greek referee Ilias Koromilas was also involved.

Ambrosov further states that he refused the offer, and the victory of Monaco in that match of 86:83 is the fact that they did not manage to bribe him.

Euroleague opened an investigation

After Ambrosov's claims, the Euroleague announced that it would launch an investigation.

"Euroleague will open an internal investigation to clarify the statements of Ukrainian referee Mykola Ambrosov. Once the investigation is complete, we will publicly announce its outcome. If any evidence is found, any necessary measures or sanctions will be applied against the individuals involved," it said. is the Euroleague.
