The women's cadet basketball team of Montenegro finished their performance at the B European Championship in Podgorica as second place, with a silver medal.
Montenegrin basketball players were defeated last night in the final match by Germany 65:57. By placing in the final, they won a higher rank and the A division.
Petr Stojanović's team reached the finals with maximum performance, and against Germany they ended their streak of six victories.
They were convincing against Cyprus 81:25, Ireland 82:45, Bulgaria 93:36, Romania 61:37 and Estonia 78:41.
Klara Bielefeld led Germany to victory and the gold medal with 13 points.
The most effective in the Montenegrin selection was Ksenija Nišavić with 21, Sanja Akšam scored 13, and Jelena Bulajić 11 points.
