The coach of the Latvian national basketball team, Luka Banki, announced today the list of 12 players for the upcoming Mundobasket.
After the defeat in the control match against Lithuania (93:69), Banki omitted Janis Tima and Mareks Mejeris from the list.
Latvia is participating in the Mundobasket for the first time, and will be weakened at the championship since the best player Kristaps Porzingis will be absent due to an injury.
The list includes: Rodions Kuruc, Kristers Zoriks, Arturs Zagars, Arturs Kuruc, Davis Bertans, Dairis Bertans, Rolands Smits, Arturs Strautins, Klavs Kavars, Aigars Skele, Andrejs Grazulis and Anzels Pasečniks.
Latvia is in a group with Lebanon, France and Canada.
