The Brazilian basketball team qualified for the second stage of the World Cup today, after defeating the Ivory Coast in Jakarta with 89:77 (23:25, 27:21, 20:19, 19:12), in the game of the last third round of Group G.
Brazil was led to victory by the new Red Star basketball player Jago Dos Santos, who recorded a double-double performance with 24 points and 12 assists. Tim Soares added 15 points and Jorginho De Paula scored 13 points.
In the African selection, Sedrih Bach was better than the others with 13 points and rebounds.
This is Brazil's second win, with one loss, while Ivory Coast was eliminated after the second loss.
In the second phase, Brazil will play with the selections of Canada and Latvia.
