The German basketball team defeated Slovenia (100:71) in the derby of Group K and advanced to the quarterfinals with the maximum score (5-0).
Slovenia enters the quarterfinals from second position (4-1).
The Slovenians opened the game very well, after the first quarter they had a 14-point advantage (25:11), but already in the second quarter, Germany turned things around and went to the break with a four-point lead - 38:34.
In the second half as well, the Germans played brilliantly, especially in the attack and solved the question of the winner after the third quarter when they had a 16-point lead - 68:52.
Denis Schroeder was the most effective with 24 (8/11 from the field) points. Daniel Theis scored 12 points.
With Slovenia, Luka Dončić was the most effective by default. Scored 23 points, but shot poorly from the field (9/22). He also had six rebounds and assists.
Only Klemen Prepelić scored in double figures with 12 points.
