One of the players who arrived at Crvena zvezda this summer is the Montenegrin representative Marko Simonović.
After his career in the NBA, where he played for Chicago, the young Kolašinac returned to the ABA league and signed a contract with the vice-champion of Jadran.
"I feel great, I joined the team two weeks ago, not all of us were there at the beginning, Jago and I came first, then Davidovac and Tobi, it took a little time to put everything together, but since last Sunday we are all together, it takes a little more time to figure out some things, but I think we are basically ready for the start of the ABA league," said Simonović, B92 reports.
Simonović also said that Nikola Vucevic congratulated him. Vucevic is known as a Red Star fan.
"Then when we heard from each other when I signed, he told me that he would come as soon as the NBA season ended to watch the games. Everything happened in a short period of time, I finished with Chicago and decided to return to Europe, as soon as I signed he called me and congratulated me and said that I was coming to the right club".
Will it ever be possible for Zvezda to have a Simonović-Vučević tandem?
"That is a question for him, he has now signed a new three-year contract. Maybe when that contract ends, he will fulfill that promise, if he promised the fans," said the center of the "red and whites".
