Chicago shooter Zak Lavin's career record was not enough to prevent the "Bulls" from losing to Detroit - 118:112.
Lavin scored 51 points, 19-of-33 from the field, 7-of-13 three-pointers, six-of-eight shooting, four rebounds, a steal and three turnovers. But no assists!
Only Demar Derozan with 20 and Nikola Vucevic with 12 points scored in double figures on his team, the two starters White and Williams finished the game without points!
Apart from the trio of Chicago stars, Dosunmu was the most effective with only five points.
For Detroit, Cade Cunningham (25 points and 10 assists) and Jalen Duren (23 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists) were the best.
Along with 12 points, Vucevic had four rebounds, all defensively, and an assist in 32 minutes on the court. He hit five of 11 shots, one of two for three and was accurate from the only free throw.
Nikola Jović had a great night despite Miami's loss, as he scored eight points, 21 rebounds and four assists in 11 minutes. He hit three out of six shots, including two triples and did not lose a single ball.
Miami played without Jimmy Butler, and home team Minnesota was led to victory by Naz Reed, who scored 25 points off the bench. Rudi Gober had 14 points and the same number of rebounds.
