SC Derby welcomes Igoke: "We believe in winning and defending the home field"

The basketball players of SC Derby will welcome Igoke tomorrow (21) in the 16th round of the Admiralbet ABA League.

In the last five games, the "students" defeated only Buducnost. They suffered four defeats, the last two against their play-off rivals - Split and Zadar. In the meantime, they were also without Kenan Kamenjaš, who reinforced Buducnost Voli.

On the other hand, Igokea has changed its composition quite a bit compared to the first part of the season. Zoran Nikolić, Nikola Tanasković and Stefan Mudi left the team from Laktaš, who were the holders of the game.

"The Igokea team completely changed the team in the second part of the season. The leading players from the first part of the championship left and now the players who did not have so many minutes in the first part have more opportunities. In my opinion, the team, even with this roster, is very high-quality, physically good , and excellently prepared by the coaching staff for each match. We are working to keep the focus on the match as much as possible and I hope we will be able to transfer that to the field," said SC Derby coach Dejan Jakara in the announcement of the match.

Like SC Derby and Igoke, it is on a losing streak, having lost its last four matches in the regional competition.

"Igokea is a young and very talented team with several experienced individuals. They lost a lot of players in the previous period and had problems in the last games, but that doesn't mean they won't go out on the pitch motivated as much as possible. It's a team that had nine in 10 matches victory, but after the departure of certain players, there are four consecutive defeats. We prepared for them throughout the week, worked on mistakes from previous games and we believe in defending the home field, winning against Igokea and getting back on the winning track," said SC Derbija basketball player Tomislav Ivišić .

In the first match, Igoke won 91:82.

"SC Derbi is a talented and quality team, which underwent changes in the roster - Kamenjaš left them and it was felt in the game. They have two defeats behind them, but they are very good and have a lot of attacking options. They are young and talented, potent in defense and attack, and it is certainly not easy to play with them on their field. We had time this week to train and get ready, despite all the changes we have undergone in the roster, so we will try to be concentrated, these few things we are preparing to respect, to be competitive in most of the game and if opportunities for something more, let's take advantage of it," said Igokea coach Vladimir Jovanović.
