The death of Dejan Milojević united the basketball world. Everyone received the sad news with disbelief, the club and the city where he left an indelible mark - KK Budućnost and Podgorica - are grieving.
The president of Budućnost Volija, Dragan Bokan, said a touching farewell to the former player and coach of the Blues.
"There are no words to express our shock, disbelief and sadness, we were deeply affected by the news and we are having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that our Dejan Milojević has left us forever".
"An incredible man, an incredible teammate, an incredible coach, an incredible friend, an incredible father and husband... A broad smile that immediately disarmed everyone at the start".
"Wearing our jersey, he wrote the history of the ABA League, was part of the generation that won the double crown in 2001. Later, as a coach, it was a bit lacking both in the Eurocup and in the ABA League".
"He wanted to stay, with the only condition - not to receive an invitation from the NBA, but that's exactly the scenario that happened. And as a coach in the strongest league and a champion in it, he did not forget the Future. He called to see how we were standing, how we were playing, followed, in a genuine, friendly way... It is impossible to express in words how much we will miss him".
