The basketball team of Montenegro ranks 17th in the new ranking of the World Basketball Federation (FIBA), i.e. 11th in Europe.
Boško Radović's team has 607,7 points.
The USA is in first place, Spain is second, Germany is third, Serbia is fourth, and Australia is fifth. Latvia, Canada, Argentina, France and Lithuania are also in the top 10.
Montenegro recently lost to Germany (85:61) away from home in the Eurobasket qualifiers, but defeated Sweden (95:70) in Morača.
Qualifications for the Olympic Games in Riga await our selection from July 2 to 7. Montenegro is in a group with Brazil and Cameroon, while Latvia, Georgia and the Philippines are in the second group.
Two selections each will qualify for the semi-finals, and the winner of the tournament will go to Paris.
