Boston basketball players beat Phoenix 127:112 tonight and became the first team to qualify for the NBA playoffs this season.
The Celtics were led by Jaylen Brown with 37 points and five rebounds and Jayson Tatum with 26 points, five rebounds and five assists. They scored 43 of Boston's 65 points in the first half.
Al Horford contributed to the victory with 24 points, of which he hit six three-pointers from 10 attempts, and Derrick White with 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

New York, led by Jalen Branson, who scored 45 points, beat Portland 105:93, and Houston, with Jalen Green's 37 points, beat Washington 135:119 and achieved its fourth consecutive victory.
