Monaco's basketball players tied the score at 2:2 in the victories against Fenerbahçe in the Euroleague playoffs, as they won 65:62 tonight away in Istanbul (11:15, 19:18, 18:14, 17:15).
In the crowded Ulker Arena, Fenerbahçe played for a place in the final four, but the "princes" were cooler in the game with a small number of points, in which Saša Obradović's team lost only eight balls, and the home basketball players lost 13.
Mike James failed again, the first star of Monaco missed the first five three-pointers, hitting one in the finish for only 10 points.
He was 18 seconds late with the ball from the outside, Vilbekin had an attack to end the series, but the ball ended up on the hoop at 5,4 seconds and the result was 62:63.
The visitors quickly passed the ball, avoided a foul and scored with the sound of the siren for 65:62.
The most effective players for Monaco were Eli Okobo with 13, James and Donatas Motiejunas with 10 points each.
At Fener, the best Serbian international Marko Gudurić with 14 points and no misses for three points (3-3), Scotty Wilbekin added 11, and Giorgos Papajanis and Nigel Hayes-Davies with 10 points each.
The series is played on three wins, the decisive fifth match will be played on Wednesday, May 7 in Monte Carlo.
