Police Department: Identified fans who participated in the incident during the Sutjeska - Budućnost match

Regarding the incident that happened on Thursday during the basketball game between Sutjeska and Budućnost Voli, police officers identified several members of the "Vojvode" and "Barvari" fan groups who participated in them, the Police Administration announced.

"The state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić was informed of the event, who qualified the event as a criminal act of violent behavior at a sports event or public gathering," the announcement states.

"Officials of the Regional Security Center "West" in cooperation with the officers of the Regional Security Center "Centar", and by order of the acting state prosecutor, undertake measures and actions to identify and process several persons, such as those who entered the sports hall without authorization, and after and on the field, as well as those who threw objects onto the field".

"In addition, police officers are undertaking activities to determine the facts and circumstances in order to determine the possible responsibility of KK Sutjeska, as well as the organizers of the sports event and possible failures in securing this gathering, in accordance with the Law on the Prevention of Violence and Misbehavior at Sports Events," it says. in the statement.

The semi-final match of the First Montenegrin League was interrupted a little less than six and a half minutes before the end of the first half.

Then the visiting fans entered the field through the official entrance, which was open, and began to provoke the home fans, with whom they entered into a conflict.

This was followed by the reaction of the "Duke" and the throwing of chairs, and then the police intervened and threw the "Barbarians" out of the hall.

The referees stopped the match, the first plan was to continue in front of empty stands, but that option was quickly dropped, because Sutjeska objected to continuing the match without the support of the audience.
