Boston basketball player Kristaps Porzingis said that he is ready to join the Celtics in the grand finals of the NBA League.
The Latvian basketball player was injured against Miami, in the fourth game of the first round of the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs, when he suffered a calf injury.
In the meantime, the Celtics eliminated Miami, then Cleveland, and then Indiana and made it to the grand finals, where they await the better of the duel between Dallas and Minnesota. The Mavericks lead 3:1 in the West Finals.
"Thanks to everyone who supports me throughout the season. I will be back on the court soon. See you in the finals," said the Latvian basketball player.
Porzingis' recovery comes at a good time for the Latvian national basketball team, which will host an Olympic qualifying tournament July 2-7.
Latvia is in a group with the selections of Georgia and the Philippines, while in the second group are Montenegro, Brazil and Cameroon.
The winner of the tournament goes to the Olympics.
