Today, the Montenegrin national basketball team had its last training session in the "Bemax Arena" before going to the Acropolis Cup, which will be played in Greece next week.
Montenegro will play two games at the Akropolis Cup - against Greece (June 25) and the Bahamas (June 6). These will be the only tests before the qualification tournament for the Olympic Games, which takes place from the second to the seventh of July in the capital of Latvia, Riga.
"We got together after long seasons and that can be a bit exhausting. But for the national team it's always different because we have more motivation, especially this year when we have a chance to qualify for the Olympic Games, which is the dream of every athlete", said Emir Hadžibegović.
Before going to Riga, there will be two tests against serious selections, which will also participate in the qualification for the Olympic Games. Greece is hosting one tournament, while the Bahamas will play in the tournament in Spain.

"We have two preparatory games. Greece and the Bahamas are quality teams, with quality players. If we do it right, without excuses, with a great motive, I think a lot can go in our favor," said the SC Derby basketball player.
After the Akropolis Cup, Boško Radović's team comes to Podgorica again, where they will train until they go to Riga, where they have matches with Brazil and Cameroon in the group. Two selections advance to the semi-finals, where they meet in a group that includes Latvia, Georgia and the Philippines. The winner of the tournament goes to Paris.
"It will be very difficult, because only one of the six teams is going to Paris, and all the teams have quality. However, we do not doubt our abilities, we need to prepare well and hope for the best," Hadžibegović believes.
Hadžibegović knows what it takes to play well in Riga.
"With good work and discipline, I think we have a chance to win two games and leave the group as winners," concluded Hadžibegović.
