American basketball player Blake Griffin remains with the Los Angeles Clippers after signing a new contract with that NBA club.
American media reports that Griffin, who has been with the Clippers since the beginning of his NBA career, signed a five-year contract worth $173 million.
"This has been my home since I was drafted. This is where I want to finish my career," Griffin said.
He averaged 21,6 points, 8,1 rebounds and 4,9 assists per match last season.
The five-time All-Star player has been with the Clippers since 2010 and has since played 471 games, averaging 21,5 points per game.
On April 1 of this year, Griffin reached 10.000 points and thus became the first basketball player in the history of the NBA to do so exclusively in a Clippers jersey.
