The convincing victory over Zadar made Buducnost Volija coach Andrej Žakelj very satisfied.
His team is in a rush, it celebrated for the fourth time in as many matches in the AdmiralBet ABA League, and in a great way - with a 91:55 victory - it ended a series of three successful visits.
"I was afraid of this game, the third in seven days, because we didn't have time to prepare. However, the players did their job in the right way - we had the right approach and concentration, we respected what we agreed on, and the defense was right - when that's the case, everything is easier in the attack", said Žakelj.
His team is in a rush, so the journalists in Zadar were interested in whether they can "fight" for the title this season.
"It's the beginning of the season, trophies are not won in October or November, not even in December. We are in a good rhythm, we have had one bad match so far (in Istanbul against Beşiktaş), we have played all the others at a level. We have a real, winning team with character and that is the most important thing. We will give everything to disrupt someone's plans, but we have to stay on the ground and be focused", said Žakelj.
Zadar coach Danijel Jusup does not hide that he likes the way Budućnost plays.
"There is not much to say after this result. Buducnost played superbly, we knew that defensively they are a great team - in my opinion, they are currently the first in the league. It was also seen in the Eurocup how difficult it is to give her a basket", pointed out Jusup.
