Atlanta basketball player Dyson Daniels has denied claims he pretended to shoot former teammates after making a three-pointer.
"I just told them it was a three," said Daniels, who after scoring a basket extended his hand towards the Pelicans bench, but also his thumb and two other fingers, which represented three points.
When told that the gesture also resembled a gun, he replied: "It may have looked like that, but I just told them it was worth three points."
"You know, I was pointing at them, that's all. I made sure that everyone knew how many points that basket was worth," Danijels added.
It appears that some in the New Orleans bench asked the referee to call Daniels a technical foul for unsportsmanlike conduct, but he went unpunished.
