Wing center Milija Miković is the new reinforcement of Podgorica Bemax, announced the club from the capital of Montenegro.
"After Alex Adetokunbo decided to strengthen PAOK after only two months, the club's leaders reacted quickly and hired Miković, who arrives from Mornar," announced Podgorica.
Miković spent the previous three seasons in Mornar. The wing center started his career in a bar club, from where he went to the Slovenian Typhoon from Šentjur in 2016. He then played for Bosnia and Hungary's Zalakerami, and then moved to Croatia, where he played for Gorica and Šibenik.
In the Šibenka jersey, he was the best scorer of the Croatian championship with 19,7 points per match, along with seven rebounds and two assists.
After Šibenka, he returned to Mornar, from where he arrived in Podgorica today.
He played for the cadet and then for the junior selection of Montenegro. In 2013, he was a member of the under-20 team, which took eighth place at the European Championship in Estonia. At Eurobasket 2014, he was the second leading scorer of the tournament, as he averaged 18,3 points, along with nine rebounds and 1,3 assists per match.
After three matches of the NLB ABA2 League, Podgorica has two wins and one loss, and in the next round, on November 13, in the "Bemax Arena" it plays against Široki.
Boško Radović's team is 4-1 in the First Montenegrin Basketball League.
