Legendary NBA coach Gregg Popovich will not lead San Antonio for an indefinite period of time due to health problems, ESPN, or rather its insider Shams Sharania, announced.
Media from the United States did not reveal what kind of problem it was, only saying that it appeared before the game the Spurs played with Minnesota on Saturday.
In the coming period, the team will be led by Mitch Johnson, Popovic's former assistant.
Popovic is 75 years old, and recently started his 29th coaching season in the NBA.
The famous San Antonio coach led to five championship crowns in the strongest league in the world, and was named the best NBA expert three times.
He led the USA team to gold at the Olympic Games three years ago in Tokyo.
