Fenerbahçe basketball players defeated Asvel last night (77:73) in the eighth round of the Euroleague and continued with good games on the side this season.
Including the Turkish championship, the team from Istanbul played five away matches this season and won all five. Fener suffered all three defeats - one in the domestic championship and two in the Euroleague - in the Ulker Sport Arena.
And after last night's victory over Asvel, Fenerbahce coach Šarunas Jasikevičius pointed out that he is not satisfied with the team's performance, but that there is still room for improvement.
"I keep saying that we can't play good basketball at the moment. I don't know who is playing well now in the Euroleague, probably only Bayern," Jasikevičius said after the match with Asvel.
Fenerbahce will play in Istanbul against Bayern in the next round of the Euroleague.
"We have a great team, a new group of guys, and the atmosphere in the locker room is great. But we have to be patient. We didn't play well against Asvel, but the most important thing is that we won," said Jasikevičius.
