In the NLB ABA2 league, the 4th round matches will be played in groups C and D this week, and the Podgorica basketball players will be on the field, who will host the Široki team tomorrow (18).
Since the arrival of Boško Radović, the team from the capital of Montenegro has been in a good rhythm, in the regional competition they registered two triumphs (six in total in all competitions), and in the previous round they defeated Siroki after extra time and reached an important break.
Before this match, Podgorica has a score of 2-1, so it is clear that a possible triumph would bring them closer to the next stage.
"It is clear that this is a game of great importance. The second round is starting and now the big fight in the group stage is just starting. We are aware that it will be difficult, because Široki has a good team, they are in a position where only a victory gives them hope, but regardless "I believe that we can achieve victory. This is perhaps the key match of the group stage. With the victory, we will go into the match motivated and with a lot of confidence, with the aim of continuing the winning streak," said the Podgorica basketball player. Balša Zivanović.
And between the two matches with Podgorica, Široki's team stepped up and hired a center, Darko Planinić, who spent a period of his career in Montenegro, where he played for Budućnost Voli.
"In Podgorica, we will surely have a difficult and uncertain match. I hope for a good game and a victory for my team", said Široki coach Ivan Velić.
The team from Široki Brijeg certainly did not expect to have three defeats after three rounds, since it is a team that has been participating in the very end of the regional competition for years.
"This is our most important match so far. We know that it will be a difficult match against the hosts. Unfortunately, we did not take advantage of the home field in the last game and thus made it difficult for ourselves to pass. We have to fix some things and believe that we can win," said Široki basketball player Matej Perković.
In the second match of this group, Joker will play against Pelister in Sombor.
