Buducnost wants to return from Badalona with a smile: A difficult and important match for us, as well as for them

The victory near Morava and the desire for a new one next to the Mediterranean Sea - the rhythm of two games a week, Buducnost Volija basketball players continue tomorrow (Wednesday, 20.30 p.m.) in Badalona.

The Montenegrin champion plays against Huventud in the 8th round of the Eurocup, and the duel against the team from the strongest European league comes after the match with Borce in Čačak and an 88:82 triumph.

"We are expecting a difficult match against a team that plays well at home. It is an experienced team that runs fast, plays aggressive defense and has experienced individuals," said Andrej Žakelj, coach of Budućnost.

The Montenegrin champion reached a score of 3-4 in the Eurocup with a triumph over Ulm in the previous round, and now awaits a visit to a team with fewer victories, which does not shine too much even in the Endesa League (3-4), but with a team that can game against every rival.

"In high positions are experienced Artem Pustovij and Ante Tomić, there is also point guard Kassius Robertson, playmaker Devon Dotson, as well as Adam Hanga whom we all know well. A difficult and important match for us, as well as for them. We will do everything to prepare well and to respond with energy and aggressiveness," added Žakelj.

Along with Kenan Kamenjaš, the battle with the Ukrainian and Croatian centers in "Paveljo Olimpik" will also be led by Alen Omić, who is returning to the northeast of Barcelona where he played a few years ago.

"Juventud is a good team, well composed, I know some of the players. They lost three or four games in the last minutes, by a small margin. A good and difficult game awaits us. We came to give our maximum, win and return home with a smile. Let's go out maximally on the field, for another victory," emphasized Omić.

Omić wore the Huventud jersey in the 2019/20 season, and he talks about the club and Badalona in chosen words.

"I enjoyed it here, it was nice. Barcelona is 10 minutes away, the weather is nice. We were the youngest team in the Endesa League, we played in the Eurocup. We had a good result. I enjoyed it with my family, I felt nice. Honestly, Badalona is a warm city, I felt like now in Podgorica. The weather is nice, sunny. And when you have such a climate, it's much easier to play and live," said Omić.
