Basketball players from Podgorica will welcome the Široki team tonight (18) in the fourth round of group C of the NLB ABA2 league.
Boško Radović's team has a record of two triumphs and one defeat, and a victory would bring them significantly closer to the second stage, especially if you take into account that Pelister lost to Joker last night (93:84), so they have a record of 1-3. Joker secured the top eight after last night's triumph, while Široki is still winless.
"The competition system is such that every match is very important. Two weeks ago, after an uncertain ending and overtime, we managed to beat them away from home. However, in my opinion, we are in for a difficult match, because we are dealing with an attacking team, with probably ten players who they have points in their hands. That's why we have to play even better in order to get into a situation where we can win," Podgorica coach Boško Radović told the club's website.
Podgorica was better than Široki in the previous round, after extra time.
"In the last match in Široki, they shot three-pointers 38-10, but considering that they are a shooting team, it is unlikely that they will repeat such percentages, so we have to raise our defense to an even higher level and try to reach a triumph," he said. is Radovic.
Both teams strengthened between the two matches. Milija Miković arrived in Podgorica, and Darko Planinić arrived in Široka.
"Each match has a special importance. The victory in Široki meant a lot to us, but now we are once again in a situation where the game before us is extremely important. A victory would bring us much closer to our goal, which is to pass the group," said Boško Radović.
