Montenegrin basketball coach Boško Radović has also been leading the Podgorica Bemax team since this season - a sonorous name for a member of the NLB Second League brought six victories in the first six matches, and the first defeat arrived last night.
Radović's boys played the weakest game of the season, and that is perhaps best illustrated by the number of points they scored in the defeat against Široki - 67:53.
"A tough defeat for us - this is probably the worst game I've managed, but with that the task is to work even harder and try to make a break until the end of Group C," Radović told the club's website.
He believes that the game was already decided in the first quarter.
"When we didn't control practically anything, and then the golgotha followed until the end. Only 53 points, with 33 percent for twos, 17 percent for threes and six missed throws, 14 turnovers, it's clear that with such a performance you can't hope for a good result not even against teams of lower quality than Široki", Radović is clear.
The defeat complicated Podgorica's plans in Group C of the Second ABA League - Džoker has won all four, Podgorica is at 2-2, while Široki and Pelister registered a triumph each. If it wants to go further, the team from the capital will have to achieve at least one triumph in two away games against Joker and Pelister.
"Siroki turned out to be a good team, which has three defeats, but with this break they came back. In the end, we didn't even manage to save the six points we celebrated in Široki, so I'm worried about how this all looked. We had a solid defense, but it's hard to win with 53 points," Radović pointed out.
Wins are imperative until the end.
"We have two games left, where we have to look for victories in order to pass the group," concluded Radović.
