Dearon Fox marked the evening in the strongest basketball league. Sacramento's point guard scored 49 points in a 121:117 victory over Utah, just one day after his team's overtime loss against Minnesota.
Along with a great scoring performance, Fox had three rebounds and nine assists and in two consecutive games his performance was 109 points, and only in two consecutive meetings did Kobe Bryant manage to score more points in 2007.
The Kings were without their first stars, Domantas Sabonis and Demar DeRozan, but they still managed to outplay the Jazz.
Dallas finally celebrated, although Luka Dončić had a modest performance by his standards of 16 points and six rebounds and assists, but Gefford and Irving each scored 22 points.
The most exciting time was on the champion's floor, as Boston broke Toronto's resistance in overtime. Austrian Jakob Poeltle tormented the champions, he had a double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds, and Canadian Arjay Barrett triple-double with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists.
The game was decided by Jason Tatum, but in an attack in which the referees did not see the obvious steps of the great Celtic basketball player.
They were not only dissatisfied with the trial in Toronto, the coach of Milwaukee "thundered" because of the loss against Charlotte.
While Rivers did not have a chance to challenge the referee's decision, it was declared wrong after the game.
"It seemed to me that the referees failed us in the previous one, and this is the second game in a row in which they made wrong decisions. We got lucky in Detroit where a guy missed free throws. Lamelo Bol hit them today. It was definitely not a foul. If you watch the video, you will understand that the referee who made the decision did not see the episode because of our player. It can't be like that. They had 21 free throws compared to our 11 in a game that included Janis Adetokunpo, and we only had one free throw! Three possessions ago, the entire team fouled him on a dunk. The whole team didn't call a foul," Rivers protested.
The results:
Charlotte - Milwaukee 115:114 (Bol 26 - Prince 23)
Boston - Toronto overtime 126:123 (Braun 27 - Poeltl 35)
New Orleans - LA Lakers 99:104 (Ingram 32 - Davis 31)
Dalas - San Antonio 110:93 (Geford, Irving 22 - Kolins 20)
Sacramento - Juta 121:117 (Fox 49 - Score 25)
