Serbian expert Saša Obradović is no longer the coach of Monaco, announced the basketball club from Principality.
"The contract was terminated by agreement. "Despite his recent form, Saša's name will remain etched in the club's history forever," announced Monaco.
It is stated that the team will be temporarily led by a member of the professional staff, Manučar Markoišvili, and the European basketball media point out that one of the candidates to succeed him is the Montenegrin coach Duško Ivanović.
Ivanovic has been without a club since May when he left Baskonia.
Obradović was fired after losing to Le Mans in the ninth round of the French league (86:74).
He was the coach of Monaco on two occasions.
He first led the team in the 2019/20 season, after which he went to Crvena zvezda. His second term lasted from December 2021.
"Princes" have six wins in the Euroleague after 10 rounds.
