Basketball club Buducnost Voli found itself in an unexpected problem – the club's account was blocked this morning.
As Vijesti unofficially learns, the club's account was blocked by the capital, in the amount of 180.000 euros.
According to our knowledge, it is most likely a blockage due to debt due to local taxes and surcharges.
It is a very strange and paradoxical reaction of the city government for the simple reason that the capital city is the founder and owner of KK Budućnost Voli, and the city budget for 2024 has decided to invest one million euros in the club.
As Vijesti learns, the Capital City, as well as the Government of Montenegro, however, did not fully respect what they agreed to last year and the current year and what they promised to the leaders of Buducnosti.
City and state assistance in completing the demanding budget was, in a way, a condition for president Dragan Bokan and members of the Board of Directors from the business community to continue running our largest basketball club.
