The final tournament of the basketball Euroleague will be played in Abu Dhabi this season, reports AFP.
Euroleague shareholder clubs voted for this proposal, allegedly only Olympiakos and Real Madrid were against it.
This is the first time that the official matches of Europe's elite competition will be played outside the Old Continent, not counting Israel.
The contract between the Euroleague, sports marketing agency IMG and Abu Dhabi to organize the event has yet to be signed.
