Denver basketball players beat Golden State tonight at home with 119:115, giving that team their fifth consecutive loss in the NBA.
Four and a half minutes before the end of the first half, the visitors took a 54:42 lead, and then a 12:0 run by Denver followed to tie the score. The score went to the big break 57:57.
During the third quarter, Denver controlled the score, and in the last quarter, the team from San Francisco made a turnaround and took the lead with 98:109. The visitors led 115:109 two and a half minutes before the end of the match, and then Denver went on a 10:0 run and thus recorded their eighth consecutive victory against Golden State in official matches.
Denver was led to victory by Serbian center Nikola Jokić, who recorded a double-double performance with 38 points and 10 rebounds, along with six assists and five steals. Michael Porter Jr. added 22 points with seven rebounds, and Aaron Gordon had 15 points and nine rebounds.
In the Golden State team, Stephen Curry recorded a double-double performance with 24 points and 11 assists, Jonathan Cuminga scored 19 points, while Andrew Wiggins, Moses Moody and Brandin Podzemski scored 13 points each.
Golden State is in sixth place in the Western Conference with 12 wins and eight losses, while Denver is eighth with 11 wins from 19 games.
Philadelphia beat Charlotte on the road with 110:104, thus inflicting the home team's sixth consecutive defeat.
Paul George was the most effective in the Philadelphia team with 29 points, along with eight assists, Tyrese Maxey scored 21 points and seven assists, while Jared McCain scored 17 points.
In the Charlotte team, Brandon Miller was better than the others with 34 points, and Nick Richards achieved a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds.
Both teams are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Charlotte is 13th with a 6/15 record, while Philadelphia has five wins in 19 games.
Dallas beat Memphis 121:116 at home, and thus advanced to the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup.
Memphis led by 15 points at the beginning of the last quarter, but then Dallas turned around and won its fifth consecutive victory.
Slovenian basketball player Luka Dončić was the most effective in the Dallas team with 37 points, with 12 rebounds, PJ Washington scored 18 points, with eight rebounds and seven assists, and Derek Lively recorded 17 points and 11 caught balls.
Ja Morant scored 31 points for the visiting team, Desmond Bain added 19 points, while Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 16 points with seven rebounds.
Memphis ranks third in the West with 14 wins and eight losses, while Dallas ranks fourth with the same performance.
Cleveland outscored Washington 118:87 at home, giving that team its 15th consecutive loss.
New York Knicks, Toronto, Oklahoma, Phoenix, Sacramento and Los Angeles Clippers also recorded victories at home.
The Knicks defeated Orlando 121:106, and recorded their third consecutive victory. Toronto beat Indiana 122:111, while Oklahoma was convincing against Utah 133:106.
In Arizona, Phoenix beat San Antonio 104:93, Sacramento beat Houston 120:111, and the Clippers beat Portland 127:105.
The victory on the road was recorded by the Milwaukee team, which was better than Detroit with 128:107.
After tonight's matches, all the quarterfinal pairs of the NBA Cup were announced. In the West, Houston and Golden State, or Dallas and Oklahoma, will meet, while in the East the pairs are Milwaukee - Orlando and New York Knicks - Atlanta.
