There was no dilemma in the Podgorica derby, the Buducnost Volija basketball players outplayed SC Derby (107:84) and achieved their ninth victory in the 11th round of the AdmiralBet ABA League.
With an excellent release in the second half, the "blues" did not allow their rivals to even hope that there could be a surprise.
"In the first half, we allowed our rival to come back with minus 10 after our mistakes. We were not good in the first 20 minutes, starting with me, and then it was different. We started after a couple of threes in the third quarter to play defense and control the rebound - that's our game. When we look like that, then we can play with everyone," said Budućnosti coach Andrej Žakelj.
McKinley Wright suffered an injury.
"It's a joint. It's still hot, it's too early to know what it's about. We hope that it is not serious, but I know that Wright will play and train if there is a one or two percent chance of that," said the Slovenian.
The coach of the "students" Petar Mijović is aware that Budućnost is the better team.

"We had two different halves. In the first one, we were very focused and stuck to the plan as much as possible, because the objective difference is in quality. In the second, you could see what is the difference between these two teams - Buducnost increased their aggressiveness, we lost several balls in a short period of time, which the rival used to score easily," said Mijović.
The surprise was not real.
"We could only match if we were focused and ready to respond to aggression for 40 minutes. We didn't have that, especially not in the third quarter," Mijović pointed out and concluded:
"We don't have any special ambitions towards the playoffs, the goal is to ensure survival, I don't think that will come into question".
