SC Derby basketball players have forgotten how to win in the AdmiralBet ABA League.
The series of defeats started on November 11 and will last at least until January 11 and the visit to Spartak, after Petar Mijović's team faltered in Čačak - Borac was better after extra time 78:76.
It is the seventh failure in a series of "students", the 11th overall in the season, along with four triumphs (each of them was achieved in "Morača").
The first quarter hinted at getting out of the crisis, because Derby gained a double-digit advantage early on, then had a plus 17 (23:6), and after 10 minutes a clear 15 difference.
However, from the middle of the second period, the game was played in a rhythm dictated by Čačani, even though the team from Podgorica was in the lead until the 28th minute.
At the end of the third quarter, Borac had the advantage (57:54), then 63:56, but the visitors' 11:0 run followed, which had to be used better - at 67:63, Erik Nil missed a three-pointer for plus seven, so the host reversed again.
With a little more than a minute to go, Paulius Valinskas hit a three-pointer for 68:67, then Pavle Nikolić made one of two free throws for 69:67, so that Zoran Nikolić ensured going to overtime after an offensive jump with 36 seconds left.
Derby had the last attack in regular time, it was squandered by Nil, who wanted to solve everything himself after the time-out, and in the additional five minutes, the Montenegrin team had two shots for the triumph - first, Luka Bogavac missed a three-pointer, and then Igor Drobnjak ...
