For the first time this season, SC Derby basketball players have recorded two wins in a row in the AdmiralBet ABA League - after defeating Spartak in Subotica in the previous round, the "students" defeated Cibona tonight in "Morača", in the 17th round - 101:86.
The "Students" recorded a convincing victory, but at the end of the third quarter they had a two-point lead - 63:61. But, after Nikola Pavlićević entered, the "Students" started a series - on the wings of the Nikšić player, Petar Mijović's team made a 17:2 run, after a three-pointer by Bogavac, they went to 80:63 and settled the question of the winner.
In the first quarter, it seemed that SC Derbi would have no problems, since after a 14:0 run the scoreboard read 21:6. All the points for the "students" in the first quarter were scored by Nil, Bogavac and Grbović, and after 10 minutes it was plus 14 - 28:14.
In the second quarter, SC Derbi had a 17-point lead on several occasions, but by the end of the half, Cibona managed to reduce the deficit to ten points (48:38), and in the third quarter, the "students" fell behind, who were not very concentrated at those moments, so the "wolves" came down to minus two - 63:61 after Vuković's points.
Then Pavlićević entered the game, got his teammates going, and SC Derbi reached its sixth victory in the league.
The most efficient player for SC Derby was Bogavac with 22 points, one less than his personal best in the AdmiralBet ABA League.
Neil had a double-double performance - 18 points and 11 assists. Pavlićević had 14 points (4/5 for three), Grbović 13, with eight rebounds, and Andjušić 10 points.
On the other side, Vuković and Smajlagić had 17 points each.
